    Middlesex University Malta awarded in Dubai

    Middlesex University Malta scooped up an important award at the latest International Conference on Web & Open Access to Learning Conference held in Dubai.

    Senior Lecturer Ing Clifford de Raffaele and postgraduate alumna Ms. Micquella Galea presented a paper entitled 'Moving towards Knowledge Creating Schools.'  Out of the 80 papers that were accepted from the original 200 submissions, the Middlesex University Malta team was awarded the prestigious award of Best Paper.

    The International Conference on Web & Open Access to Learning, held under the auspices of the Centre of Excellence for Innovation & Creativity in Dubai, UAE,and the UNESCO Communication & Information Sector, brings together leading researchers, practitioners and industry stakeholders to discuss pedagogical and technological approaches to accomplish the dissemination of knowledge, skills and competencies across learning and education.

    Commenting on this success, Patrick Pullicino, Head of the Middlesex University Malta Campus, said that this award confirms that Middlesex Malta is home to outstanding researchers and practitioners committed to teaching and to our students. He added that this focus on academic leadership and capacity is already producing excellent results since students in Malta have consistently achieved exceptionally high grades and degree classifications.
